All the best!
Well, here we are in the last third of January, 2016. It's been almost a month since my last post and a lot has transpired since then.
In this post I only intend to address an issue that I've experienced, and apparently, from what I've seen in YouTube (University), there have been many others who have experienced the same.
I downloaded Windows 10 on January 10th - no, I was not working with numerology, I was waiting till the last few days before Service Pack 1 expired, which was the 13th. What I thought would be easy, turned out to be... well, not so. Without going through all the gory details (a wee bit of exaggeration there), I finally got Windows 10 installed and running. Before I continue, I should say that I'm not a programmer, tech geek, or anything of the sort. I'm just your ordinary guy that looks for things that suits my needs and finds out what I can do with what I have.
After installing Windows 10, with my external monitor still plugged into my computer, and operating, Windows 10 wouldn't recognize the screen on my laptop - only the external monitor. In short, I:
So, for a short time, I got used to working with one screen again, while waiting for a friend who is a programmer to work on it.
One day, while multitasking, I had to walk away from my computer, and when I returned less than a half-hour later, the computer was off. I didn't shut it down, nor did we have a brown or black-out. I restarted it, and while restarting, the screens went black, so I tapped the "Start" button on my computer... nothing. So I did it again - both screens came on!
I still can't adjust my computer to just come online with both screens as with Windows 7, but I can live with two extra clicks before signing in to Windows 10 to get both screens working.
Making the above short:
Worthy of note:
I have a Dell N5050. It's a basic computer, but I like basic computers. I can add programs and apps which I like and I'm familiar with.
Hope this helps!

Well now, I'd love to tell you about all of the work I've had recently, but translating an academic paper for a grant, and editing other material is not something I can share, however I've just completed the major portion of creating a new website and integrating many things that make it functional for the user/owner; we even created his new logo and business card. To view this site, just click the link below. It's not a "fancy" site, but the owner is happy with it.
How can we help you?
Many people I know have or are limiting their time on facebook, if not just eliminated their accounts altogether. Many I've spoken with have various reasons for doing so, but most whom I've spoken with have stated these as the top reasons for doing so:
My main reason for limiting my presence on facebook is that it always slows my computer down to a crawl, and since that is counterproductive to the work I do online, I'm forced to do just that, limit my time there.
However, through a friend, I have found another social network in a neutral country which many of you most likely have heard about - the country, not the social network ;) . It's the same country that threw out the IMF and arrested the bankers who caused their financial crisis.
I've been with this social network for a bit over two weeks now. I can leave it open all day and I can leave my mail box open, search the web and perform many other functions I need, without my computer slowing down. Another benefit of this other social network is, I've found quite a few members who are doers, not just talkers.
I know many who read this blog article will stay with facebook, and that's just fine; most people will stay with FB and undoubtedly love it. However, if you're one like me and others I know, the following social network maybe just this thing for you, especially if you're one who wants more conversation with progressive people, instead of the relaxed, "I've had a hard day" crowd in FB.
If you join us, look me up!
